Is it better to buy or rent in San Antonio, Texas?

There’s long been debate about whether one should buy or rent a home. Of course, so many factors can be at play in such a decision such as income, job stability, children, schools, how much money you may or may not have for a down payment, interest rates, rental rates, median home prices, etc.

Here is an excellent article, recently published by Realtor.com, that lists certain metropolitan cities within the U.S. and breaks down a buy vs. rent comparison in each city. As you will see, in some cities, such as San Antonio, it is still a better financial situation to buy rather than rent, if you can do so for a variety of reasons.

It’s a good read and I encourage anyone who is currently on the fence or in the process of trying to decide whether buying or renting is the better option for them.
