Many people, myself included, wondered what effects Covid-19 would have on the housing market. Would the market crash, would is remain stable, would prices hit rock bottom or would prices actually increase?
Well, the data is in. A recent study by Case-Shiller tracked twenty metropolitan areas within the U.S. and in nineteen of them, prices of homes increased from the year before in 2020. The main reason seems to be the trend of buyers wanting to leave urban areas and head to the suburbs.
