I like the beach, the ocean, sand between toes, the surf and the relaxed vibe most beaches offer. There is just something about soaking up the sun while on a beach or taking in ocean views with swells that roll in every few seconds. Whether I will ever live on a beach or not remains to be seen (highly doubtful), but if I could I would consider it someday in retirement life.
However, one thing I can’t imagine doing is (not that I have this kind of money or ever will) paying 40M for a beachfront house. I realize it’s all relative to how much money someone has and what kind of lifestyle/investment someone is wanting/willing to make, but 40M for the home in the below article seems a tad pricey to me, but obviously not to the buyers who recently bought the Mailbu beachfront home.
